A big suprise

I was on-line on Sabbath afternoon. Catching up on e-mails and and listening to the New Gaither Quartet CD. (Give it aways is really good. I like their new tenor).

Any way while I was on-line I got an IM from my sister Laura. It was so nice to hear from you. About a year after my stroke I was not me. The meds they had me on really changed me. I just didn't care if I heard from anyone or not. If I did hear from them they were taken back by how non-caring I was about things. (Big Side-effect of my medication). I am off those meds so when I heard from Laura I was exited to catch up. I would worry about her however she is so full of life that she will be ok no matter what. She has 2 sons Jack and Jerry. Jack is married and has 3 children and Jerry is engaged. She is excited to be a grandma. (I know I just don't feel old enough to have a sister that is a grandma but I do). I was glad to her from her. He husband and her are looking to move to wyoming. But as as long as there is e-mail and chat we will always stay connected.

While I was on-line with her. I got an IM from my brother Len. I have not talked to him much in my life. (Huge back story there that I really don't want to get into now). However we got to catch up. It was really nice hearing from him. We have alot in common in common however circumstance and life have kept us apart. It is good to know that God has blessed his life. Him and Deb have been married 23 years. (Right there is a blessing). The have 3 great kids Ben, Beth, and Christopher. It was nice to know everyone is doing great. I hope I can talk\Chat with him more in the future. However he is a Pastor and he has a flock that rely on him. So I understand when he is time bound. Never the less is was really good to hear from him.

(I have pictures but I am having trougle posting them. When I get time I will edit them in another format to make them smaller. Then I will post them)

My Nephew Sean

I am so proud of my nephew Sean.

He rode a horse by himself for the first time.

Here it a vid.

Visiting Nephews

My nephews Max Came for a visit. We had such a good time.

I had only got to see these guys a couple of times this year.

I have some other nieces and nephews that I don't get to see at all. So it is hard for me. I miss them terribly.

I had a great time this weekend and I think they did as well.

Trials and Sabbutations

Well, I quit my job. I got my schedule for the rest of the year and I was scheduled to work Sabbaths. I called my team leader and he was anything but nice. I told him as a Seventh-Day Adventist I could not and would not work Sabbaths.

I really liked this job. I really loved it, but how can I do something that is morally wrong. I can't go against what I think God as set forth. I just can't.

So I was getting ready to call my boss and resign and I get a call from a person I met about a year ago. They were wondering if the could convince me to come on board with them. http://www.combined.com/

It is a great job with a great future. I am so excited to be able to get this. The Lord took care of my need before I even knew I had one. How cool is that?

So I called my boss and resigned. He is resinging as well because he does not like that policy either. I am glad I am not the only one in that boat.

God Bless and trust me on this one he does.

My Little Girl.

I love my kids. I have to admit before My daughter Jamie was born I didn't want kids.

The day she was born they were giving her a bath and she was not happy. She was crying and screaming and she was upset. I walked up to her and said "Hi, Jamie its Daddy" She instantly stopped crying and looked directly at me.

I have to tell you from that point on I was wrapped around her pinky. I took this picture today. She looks so old. She is in her room at computer typing a story that she wrote.

She is growing so fast.

Fall in August?

I remember when I was a kid. August ment the beginning of fall. The school year started and it meant the Holloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas were that much closer.

As an adult August just ment and another month and a half of summer.

But..........

Not here in Minnesota! Today is August 13th. It is raining and I can see leaves chaning on the trees. It is a cold rain. Not one of those rains you like to play in during the summer. This is one of those slow soaking rains. It makes the day one of those you just want to curl up on the couch witha blanket a cup of coffee and a good book.

It is nice to experence it as an adult again. However that means winter is getting here quicker as well.

Ah, Life as a Northerner. I hope I will get used to it someday.

I hope this post finds you all well.

Change of season

It is a change of season here in MN. We have gone from 100 degree heat to 70 degree wonderful weather.

It is nice for the family to be outside again. Yesterday was Sabbath. We sat on the bench swing and just enjoyed being outside.

The kids are playing out again. It is nice.

Unfortunantly I am allergic to most spring and fall season. This one is turning into a dusey. That God for Allagrea.

I have been hearing from good friends this past week. My Friend Jeff is getting married. He has a great blog that is telling about the process. He is much more involved in his then I ever was in mind. (I think I was asked what I would like my color to be.... I think).

Anyway if you get a chance check it out. It is http://saraandjeff.blogspot.com/ .

I hope everyone is having a good summer.

(School starts in 3 weeks yea!)
